Once and Future Wildfires

Jed Meunier, Wisconsin DNR Fire Ecologist

In 2017, Jed spoke to us about what he and his crew discovered from ancient tree stump fire scars at  Toni Ankenbrandt’s Pine Bluff BRPA easement property. With this lecture, we’ll learn about how his updated historical fire research has influenced DNR Forestry’s recently released Strategic Priorities. Increasing prescribed burning across all ownerships in Wisconsin is one of their main goals.
