Best Birdathon (tie)

This photo of a Spotted Sandpiper (by Robert Rolley) was one of the few peeps we tallied during our 12th year participating in the Natural Resources Foundation Great Wisconsin Birdathon. We tied the previous high count in 2020 with a total of 106 species. 

Highlights include Hooded Warblers, Worm-eating and Cerulean Warbler (they have been package deals for me lately), Bell’s Vireos and a Henslow’s Sparrow.
