Frogs and Timberdoodles
Saturday, April 25, 7:30 – 9:00pm
S8440 Hemlock Rd, Prairie Du Sac

Celebrating the first 20 years of protection in perpetuity this year, The Mossman/Hartman Conservation Easement is located at the intersection of the Hills and the Honey Creek floodplain and is a refuge for at least 14 species of Greatest Conservation Need, including Blanding's Turtle and a large population of pickerel frogs.
The mosaic of habitat types here provides great opportunities to witness the sky dance courtship rituals of American Woodcocks (a.k.a. Timberdoodles) and Wilson's Snipe, and the songs of up to 8 species of frogs and toad. This event is timed to hopefully capture a glimpse of some — or, if lucky, all — of these wonders of nature.
Attendees should bring rubber boots and headlamps or flashlights. Some pond dip nets will be available for closer observation of wildlife.
